Expedia Group is combining its B2B and global supply organizations under a single leader as the company continues expanding its platform and partner business.
The company said Monday that Alfonso Paredes has been appointed president of B2B and chief commercial officer, adding oversight of Expedia Group’s global supply organization to his existing responsibilities leading Expedia Group’s B2B business.
The move brings together Expedia Group’s global travel supply teams—including hotels, vacation rentals, air, activities, car rental and insurance—with its partner distribution and platform operations.
The restructuring reflects Expedia Group’s broader effort to align supply and partner distribution more closely as it expands its B2B business beyond traditional wholesale distribution.
Under Paredes, Expedia Group’s B2B division has expanded into a broader travel platform business, giving partners access to a broad range of travel inventory, payments and media capabilities through a single integration layer.
“Our ambition is to make Expedia Group the most effective platform connecting travel supply with global demand,” Paredes said. “By bringing Supply and B2B together, we can simplify how partners work with us, move faster across the marketplace, and create more opportunities for partners to grow through our technology, distribution and supply network.”
CEO Ariane Gorin said the move aims to help the company “operate more cohesively across our marketplace, deepen collaboration with partners and accelerate growth across our global platform.”
The announcement follows Expedia Group’s recent emphasis on B2B growth and partner distribution. In first-quarter earnings reported last week, the company said B2B revenue increased 25% year over year to $1.2 billion, while executives highlighted 22% growth in B2B bookings and partnerships including Uber and Bank of Montreal AIR MILES.
The move builds on a 2024 reorganization that placed Paredes and Greg Schulze in charge of separate partner and B2B-focused divisions.
As part of the leadership change, Greg Schulze will leave the company following a transition period, after more than two decades in senior leadership roles across Expedia Group’s supply organization. Schulze will continue serving on the board of Traveloka on behalf of Expedia Group.
