Juniper Group has acquired Deem from Travelport, which has owned the corporate travel management platform since 2023.
Deem was previously owned by car rental brand Enterprise Holdings.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Following the transaction, Deem will continue to operate independently under its current leadership and is expected to maintain a relationship with Travelport, according to the companies.
Deem provides booking, procurement and trip management solutions for both travel management companies and corporations. As part of Travelport, Deem was integrated into the Travelport+ retailing platform for travel agents, while also supporting usage of other GDSs for its clients.
“We are proud of what the Deem team has built and achieved during its time with Travelport,” said John Mangelaars, CEO of Travelport. “Together we took a strong product and made it more competitive, better integrated and well-positioned for growth."
According to Kyle Moore, president of Deem, the company’s time with Travelport positioned it to better work with clients that use its technology with the Travelport+ platform.
“That integration, alongside the multi-GDS capabilities of Deem, combined with the resources of Juniper Group, supports Deem’s continued service to its customers,” Moore said.
Juniper Group, an operating group of Vela Software and part of Constellation Software, acquires and manages vertical market software businesses, according to the company. The acquisition was sponsored by Juniper Travel Technology, a unit of Juniper Group focused on travel industry booking and connectivity solutions.
Jaime Sastre, CEO of Juniper Group, said Deem “further strengthens our travel technology portfolio and expands our presence in the U.S. and corporate travel markets.”
Juniper Group on June 2 also completed the acquisition of DerbySoft, which provides hotel distribution and marketing technology.
Travelport's sale of Deem comes after Sabre sold its corporate online booking tool GetThere to travel technology company Serko in October 2024. The transaction included an initial five-year partnership between Serko and Sabre to develop new product capabilities.
Juniper Group has ties to Sabre via its parent company. In March 2026, Sabre defended itself against a takeover by Constellation Software before reaching an agreement with the investor, which now holds a 12.7% stake in the global distribution system (GDS).
