Loook
Loook is building a GPS-enabled storytelling platform that automatically delivers location-based stories to travelers as they move through destinations, helping tourism organizations extend engagement beyond traditional attractions.
Founded in 2024, Loook combines geolocation technology with a proprietary library of more than 17,000 stories covering culture, heritage, nature and local points of interest. Its AI-assisted content engine is designed to help scale storytelling across new destinations while maintaining a human-crafted approach.
What is your 30-second pitch to investors?
LOOOK transforms travel time into discovery time. Our platform automatically delivers GPS-triggered stories as people move through cities, regions and destinations. We help destinations, tourism organizations and mobility partners engage visitors before, during and after arrival while creating opportunities for visitor dispersal, local discovery and economic impact.
Describe both the business and technology aspects of your startup.
LOOOK operates a hybrid B2B2C model. We work with cities, tourism boards, leisure destinations and mobility partners that use our platform to enrich visitor experiences. Technologically, LOOOK combines geolocation, a proprietary story corpus of 17,000+ stories and an AI-assisted storytelling engine trained on that content.
Give us your SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis of the company.
Strengths include proprietary content, hybrid AI-human storytelling and strong applicability across tourism and mobility. Weaknesses are the need for market education and longer public sector sales cycles. Opportunities include experiential tourism, smart destinations and connected mobility. Threats include large platform entrants and regulatory changes affecting location services.
What are the travel pain points you are trying to alleviate from both the customer and the industry perspectives?
Travelers often miss the stories that surround them while moving through destinations. Destinations struggle to engage visitors before arrival and distribute them beyond major attractions. LOOOK addresses both challenges through contextual storytelling delivered at the right place and time.
Now that the product is built, what's your strategy for customer acquisition?
We focus first on B2B partnerships. Destinations, tourism boards, leisure brands and mobility organizations already have access to large visitor audiences. Through white-label solutions, reseller partnerships and direct sales, we can scale efficiently while reducing acquisition costs.
Tell us what process you've gone through to establish a genuine need for your company and the size of the addressable market.
The idea emerged from real travel experiences and was validated through academic research, pilot projects and thousands of stories deployed in the field. The combination of traveler feedback, destination demand and educational research consistently confirmed the value of contextual storytelling.
How and when will you make money?
Revenue comes from platform licensing, subscriptions, activation-based models, white-label implementations and consumer subscriptions distributed through partner ecosystems. The model is designed around recurring revenue and scalable partnerships.
What are the backgrounds and previous achievements of the founding team?
The founding team combines expertise in storytelling, digital innovation, user experience, platform development, technology, finance and international business development. Together they bring experience from both creative and technology-driven industries.
How have you addressed diversity and inclusion within your business?
The platform is multilingual by design and aims to make local culture and heritage accessible to diverse audiences. Stories can be tailored to different ages, interests and visitor groups, making discovery more inclusive.
What's been the most difficult part of founding the business so far?
Building a completely new category. LOOOK sits between tourism, mobility, media and technology. While people quickly understand the concept once they experience it, explaining the category itself requires education and demonstration.
Generally, travel startups face a fairly tough time making an impact. Why are you going to be one of the lucky ones?
Most travel startups need content or technology. LOOOK has spent years building both. The combination of a large proprietary content library, validated storytelling framework and AI-assisted scaling creates a strong competitive advantage.
A year from now, what state do you think your startup will be in?
We expect broader international coverage, additional destination partnerships, expanded story libraries and continued growth through reseller and partner networks.
What is your endgame? (Going public, acquisition, growing and staying private, etc.)
Our ambition is to become the global storytelling layer for travel and place discovery. The focus today is creating a sustainable, scalable company that delivers long-term value to travelers, destinations and partners.
